PRC Clarifies Suspension of Filipino Physical Therapists in US

Before releasing the result of July 2010 Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, the Professional Regulation Commission calrified the recent issue of the alleged sanction/blacklisting of  Filipino Physical Therapists in the United States. In a signed document posted on PRC's official website, PRC Charirman NICOLAS P. LAPEÑA JR clarified that "contrary to public perception, the suspension of the exam is not a ban nor a blacklist or a sanction as reported. Rather, it is a necessary action by the Federation of State Boards for Physical Therapy (FSBPT) to ensure that the next set of examination does not include compromised questions and this preparation can take at least a year to implement".

The said document also mentioned the result of the investigation as to the cause of the said suspension. To read the full document follow the link to the PRC news page.

If you want information about personal finance, you can easily key in any money related keyword to Google or Yahoo search and the list of result would be astoundingly long. Yes, personal finance advice is one of the most popular topics in the web. And because of its extreme popularity, you will surely find it hard to sort out which ones are credible and which ones were applicable to your situation.

Now, with respect to personal finance in context to the Philippine setting, I found this blog really useful and practical. I was referring to the blog by Francisco J Colayco published through GMA news website. For those who don't know Mr. Colayco, he is the author of the bestselling book series "Wealth Within Your Reach - Pera Mo, Palaguin Mo!” He is also an experienced business man and regularly conducts seminars on personal finance. He is also the chairman of Colayco Foundation for Education which aims to increase Filipinos' literacy regarding personal finance.

What I personally like about his blog (and also in his books) is that it was especially made in the context of the Filipino culture. The topics discussed in his blog are surprisingly interesting and practical even to those who don't know much about financial matters.

Aside from his blog, you can also visit Colayco Foundation's website.

Why Would I Transfer from Globe Tattoo to Smart Bro? -Part 2

Continuation of my bad experience from using Globe Tattoo...

And here comes the next day. I loaded my Globe Tattoo with 100 pesos and registered. Guess what? NO REPLY, FAILURE REGISTRATION. I then decided to call globe and ask for an explanation and assistance. On my first attempt, a male agent picked the call and said that there’s currently a traffic surge on my location and that users may experience denied registration requests. He said that it will just take a few minutes and the system will normalize again. He advised me to try again later and ask an apology for inconvenience.

OK, after five minutes, I tried again, same results. Ten minutes, same result. One hour after, same outcome. I called again. This time the agent told that there’s no problem in the system and I may just need to try again. I said that I keep on trying since the last time I called and with the same outcome. The agent then generated a report for investigation and gave me the reference number. He asked me to monitor the investigation status by calling back 3 to 5 days after.

Three days later, I tried to register….FAILED…NO REPLY. I called Globe to follow up the incident report and to my surprise the agent told me that the investigation has been closed and that they found no problem. They advised me instead to keep on trying. That time, I was really burning in anger for my expectation of fair service failed realize.

And then the FINAL BLOW came in. After failing to register after 10 years of trial, I gave up. I will just use my load and surf the net. The usual SNAIL SPEED of Globe Tattoo serenades me for about an hour and then it STOPPED. Yes, even though I still have 30 pesos remaining balance, the INTERNET CONNECTION DISAPPEARED. For no reason at all, it just stopped connecting and after several trials and restarts of my laptop, it didn’t came back.

After that incident, I felt tired and fooled. I don’t want to call back Globe just to tell me mere escape reasoning. I had just proven the FACT behind the claim that GLOBE TATOO ….! and I should transfer to SMART BRO.

Why Would I Transfer from Globe Tattoo to Smart Bro? -Part 1

I had this bad experience with Globe tattoo plug-it internet connection. Last week, I saw a billboard advertising Globe Tattoo’s latest promo: One Day Unlimited Internet Surfing for 50 pesos! At first glance, I found it very interesting. The reason is that one day unlimited surfing fits my internet usage. I think that one month unlimited internet is way beyond my needs. One day unlimited is just enough especially since I just use internet during weekends.

With high level of excitement, last weekend, I loaded my Globe Tattoo with 60 pesos. When I tried registering, by typing SUPERSUF50 and then sending it to 888, I always receive a message saying that my request cannot be entertained for the moment and they requested me to try again later. I tried again several times and I got the same reply. I decided then to stop registering and let an hour pass before trying again.

Two hours have already passed before I tried to register again. This time though, after sending the key message, I didn’t receive any reply. I thought then that maybe my request has been granted and the system just failed to confirm my registration. To verify my assumption, I checked my balance. And to my disappointment, my balance is the same. I wasn’t able to register. I tried again and again but no reply message came in. My balance is still the same so my registration effort was futile. Since I really need to be online that time, I decided to consume my load and just try again the next day.
