PLDT-controlled Sun Cellular, the third largest mobile network in the country appears to be having an outage. How massive is it is yet to be known since Sun Cellular through its Facebook and Twitter Pages won't confirm anything. Absence of cellular signal was reported in Visayas and Luzon regions. Here's the screenshot of the fuming customers complaining lack of connection. Update: Around 11AM today, it appears that the system is back to normal.

Globe Telecom blames its rival Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co, (PLDT) for the massive outage of telecom services in several parts of Northern Luzon. This is in contrast with the earlier report wherein PLDT blames Globe for the outage. [Read: PLDT claims Globe facilities causing interconnection problems ] Globe claims that the local interconnection with PLDT in Bulacan was monitored to be out-of-service as early as Monday (Feb 25) night. Then, on Tuesday noon (Feb 26), other North Luzon interconnections broke down affecting provinces of La Union, Baguio, Tarlac, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija. Globe also said that since Monday's outage, they have been communicating with PLDT to resolve the problem. But as of the morning of yesterday (Feb 27), the services have not yet been restored. Cross posted from Technology Logs . Yes, Google's Blogger.com is now up and running! This is actually my first post after the almost-three-day downtime of the popular blogging service. The outage came after Blogger's scheduled maintenance last Thursday (PHT). The maintenance was supposed to to last for only one-hour but after it, Blogger came back to read-only-mode wherle users can't upload new contents to their blogs. They also removed all articles and comments posted during the short uptime after the maintenance. Although Blogger said that they already started restoring those articles, my posted articles are yet to be restored until the time of writing.
