Earthquake Shakes Negros, Cebu and Nearby Areas

An earthquake shakes Negros Island as well as nearby areas at around 1:22PM (PhilippineTime) today, November 14, 2012. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude 5.6 earthquake. The epicenter is located 4km (2mi) NNW of Linaon, Philippines. Magnitude 7.6 Earthquake Rocks Sulangan, Philippines (Eastern Samar)

A strong earthquake with a magnitide of 7.6 (corrected from 7.9) shakes Eastern Visayas area of the Philippines at around 8:47 PM, august 31, 2012. The tremor was felt as far as Davao City. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the quake was located at 135 km East of Sulangan. Because the epicenter is located at the sea, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a warning for Indonesia, Philippines, Belau, Yap, Taiwan, Japan, Guam, N. 5.9 Earhquake Jolts Mindanao - March 16, 2012

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake shakes Mindanao region at around 3:58 PM (Manila Time) according to the record of United States Geological Survey (USGS) . The tremor was felt as far as Visayas region. According to USGS the epicenter of the earthquake is located 25 km (15 miles) NNE of Surigao, Mindanao. View Larger Map The damages and casualties were still unknown as of press time.

Magnitude 5.3 Earthquake Struck Masbate Region

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook the Masbate region early this morning. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports that the quake occurred at around 7:06 AM, Tuesday Morning, March 6, 2012. The epicenter is estimated to be 10 km (6 miles) ESE of Masbate. The epicenter of the Masbate  earthquake. Last month, a  magnitude 6.7 earthquake hits Negros region killing more than 50 persons and damaging worth millions of properties.

Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake Rocks Cebu-Bacolod Region

A magnitude 6.7  earthquake rocked the region of Cebu-Negros Philippines at noon time today ( 11:49:16 AM ,  February 6, 2012 ) according to the report of the United States Geological Survey (USGS ) . The epicenter of the earthquake is located 71 km (44 miles) SSE of Bacolod, Negros, Philippines. Magnitude 5.9 Earthquake Hits (Manila) Luzon, Philippines

US Geological Services ( USGS ) reported that a magnitude 5.9 earthquake that hit the island of Luzon, Philippines at exactly 01:15:44 AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2011. The location of the epicenter is at 15.07N,120.16E (epicenter), west of Angeles, Pampanga and north of Olongapo City.                                        View Larger Map As of the moment, there was no reported casualties and the extent damage is yet to be determined. Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake Hits Northern Japan - Tsunami Alert Issued

                           Image via Wikipedia A magnitude 7.2 earthquake hits Northern  Japan this morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 10 km (6 miles) below the surface of the earth and is located off the coast of Aomori prefecture. Consequently, the  Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued a Tsunami warning alert.
