A strong earthquake with a magnitide of 7.6 (corrected from 7.9) shakes Eastern Visayas area of the Philippines at around 8:47 PM, august 31, 2012. The tremor was felt as far as Davao City. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the quake was located at 135 km East of Sulangan.
Because the epicenter is located at the sea, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a warning for Indonesia, Philippines, Belau, Yap, Taiwan, Japan, Guam, N. Marianas, Papua New Guinea A Tsunami Watch is in Effect For Chuuk, Marcus Is., Kosrae, Pohnpei, Marshall Is., Wake Is., Solomon Is., Russia, Nauru.

In Cebu City, the tremor sent thousands on the street. Occupants of high-rise buildings were forced to evacuate as soon as the shaking stopped. According unconfirmed reports, Jones avenue was filled with people in response to the quake.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued specific warnings to the following areas in the Philippines: Legazpi, Davao and Palanan. According to the report, it is not certain whether a tsunami was generated but an earthquake of this intensity is capable of creating destructive tsunamis that can hit nearby coasts in minutes. The report further said that the tsunami, if ever created will arrive at around 9:40PM today.

Nitong mga nakalipas na araw ay nagpadeliver kami ng gas at sa kasamaang palad ay may deprensya ang inihatid nilang tangke ng gas, nalaman lang namin ito nang nangamoy ang buong bahay namin ng mabahong gas mabuti't wala pang nagsisindi/nagluluto sa kalan sa amin. Itinawag agad namin ito sa branch station nila na aming pinagkuhanan, doon na nagsimula ang NAPAKA-PANGIT NA SERBISYO nila,
Nang nakausap namin sa telepono ang receptionist nila at sinabi namin agad ang problema na idineliver nila, Nakapagtatakang ang sinabi ng nakausap namin na tumawag sa Opisina nila. Naitawag at nasabi namin ang problema sa binigay na numero sa Opisina nila, makalipas ang mahigit na isang Oras doon pa lang dumating ang rider na nagdeliver sa amin ng gas, Ipinasuri namin ang tangke ng gas.
Laking Dismayado ang naramdaman namin ng niremedyohan ng rider ang tangke ng gas imbes na palitan ito ng Bago at maayos na tangke ng gas.
Ayon sa Rider, papalitan lang daw nila ang Gasul kung ito'y hindi nya maaayos.
Upang hindi mauwi sa Argumento O pagtatalo ay hinayaan na lang namin na hindi mapalitan ito. Pero ito na ang Huling beses na kami'y kukuha mula sa BAUTISTA GAS.
Sana ay Huwag maranasan ito ng ibang customers upang hindi mangyari ang anumang aksidente na maaring maidulot nito sa kanila.
Good thing it was cancelled. Earthquakes here in Philippines are getting serious nowadays. We should always be in a safe place to protect our selves and our love ones.
