Lesser Options in Flying Domestically Due to Airline Mergers

When San Miguel Corporation took over the helm of managing PAL and PAL Express (then Airphil Express), they decided to merge the operation of the two airline companies. Though the two airlines have been long-time sister companies, they have operated almost independently until Lucio Tan sold his majority stake to San Miguel . PAL Express was named Airphil Express before San Miguel acquired PAL The result of the consolidation is immediately evident. First, Airphil Express changed its name to PAL Express. Second, PAL Express stopped all flights that are common with PAL (e.g. Manila-Cebu). Then just recently, PAL Express suspended 35 Express inter-island flights leaving inter-island travelers with no other choice but Cebu Pacific.

PAL Midnight Sale is Now Monday Madness Promo

Update: Latest PAL and PAL Express Monday Madness can be viewed at this Airline Promos Page . Remember the old PAL Midnight Sale? For those who don't, it is a promotion of Philippine Airlines wherein they offer cheap fares to certain destinations and travel dates every Sunday midnight until 6 in the morning. I still remember the first one back in 2011. PAL's website was inaccessible for almost three hours due to the flood of internet traffic to their servers. Many were irritated, even angered by the unprepared airline company. Slowly though, the succeeding midnight sales becomes more stable.

Introducing Airphil Express Manage Booking Service

Has it ever occurred to you at one time that you forgot where you  placed your printed ticket? For me, it happens a lot of times. Especially now that most people book promo fares, they have to keep their tickets at a longer time because the actual flight date is far from the booking date. With Cebu Pacific , it's OK. You just have to know the name of at least one of the passengers or the credit card number used, and the confirmation number and presto, you just go the "manage booking" section of Cebu Pacific website and you can reprint your tickets from there. The problem occurs when you are booked with either Philippine Airlines , Zest Air , or Airphil Express . They don't have that type of service. You have to go to their ticketing office just to secure a copy of your purchased ticket. Manage Booking  Service of Airphil Express But things have changed for Airphil Express ! Today, Airphil Express proudly introduces their latest service: Mange Booking. This i...
