Supreme Court Releases 2012 Bar Exam Results

The Supreme Court of the Philippines finally released the results of the 2012 Bar Examination. 949 out of 5,343 passed the exam and will join the roster of licensed lawyers in the country. The annual bar exam was held last October 2012 under the supervision of the Supreme Court. He was closely followed by Catherine Beatrice King Kay who also studied law in Ateneo. The complete list of bar topnotchers and the complete list of new lawyers can be viewed below. Airphil Express Re-brands to PAL Express

Starting today, March 15, 2013 Airphil Express will be known as PAL Express. The move is in line with the strategic alignment of airline businesses owned and operated by San Miguel Corporation. The $500 Million deal included Airphil Express. Summary of Changes What can we expect from the re-branding? Well, its not just the name that will change but more is involved. March 30, 2013 is a Non-working Holiday (Black Saturday)

For those who are not aware or just wants a clarification, March 30, 2013 is a special non-working holiday in the Philippines. This year, March 30 falls in the Catholic observance known as the Black Sabbath (Black Saturday). This has been declared as early as last year when President Aquino signed Proclamation No. 459 containing the schedule of holidays for the entire year 2013. For those who will be required to report on that day, the employer shall provide additional compensation based on the established rules of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Cebu Pacific Raises Baggage Prices

Last time, I wrote an article entitled Cebu Pacific Offers The Cheapest Baggage Allowance . But now, things have changed. Yesterday, I booked a flight from Cebu to Davao and noticed a change in their baggage prices. NBA Preseason Game Live in Manila on October 10, 2013

The National Basketball Association (NBA) will be having their first ever preseason game in the Philippines this coming October 10, 2013. The game will be held in SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, Pasay, Metro Manila. Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets will be playing in the preseason game. For the millions of NBA fans in the country, this would be a great news. The Pacers will be led by NBA All-Stars Paul George, Roy Hibbert, and David West. On the other hand, we will see Jeremy Lin and Paul George live in action for the Houston Rockets. Prior to the actual game, SM and NBA Philippines will also be hosting several events to build up the preseason game. That includes appearances of NBA talents and other community events. Cebu-Mactan Airport Now Collects Terminal Fees When Booking Airline Tickets

Starting today March 1, Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) will start collecting terminal fees when booking airline tickets. The terminal fee in Mactan-Cebu International Airport is 200 Pesos. The move is part of the on-going effort to improve customer experience in local airports in the country. Last August 2012, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has begun implementing the same scheme on passengers using the Terminal 1, 2 and 3.
