Magnitude 5.3 Earthquake Struck Masbate Region

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook the Masbate region early this morning. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports that the quake occurred at around 7:06 AM, Tuesday Morning, March 6, 2012. The epicenter is estimated to be 10 km (6 miles) ESE of Masbate.

Damages and casualties are still not known as of press time.

Last month, a magnitude 6.7 earthquake hits Negros region killing more than 50 persons and damaging worth millions of properties.

    Nice post. Thanks for sharing. I hope that preventative measures can be put in place soon. One thing that can be done which costs nothing is each individual take responsibility for their garbage and put it where it belongs instead of throwing it all over the streets, rivers, and everywhere else.
