Of course, you need not limit your stay in the busy capital metropolis. You can plan to go to other interesting places like Osaka, Kyoto, or even go north to Hokkaido island. Kyoto is especially interesting since it boasts the preservation of the old Japanese culture. Kyoto contains roughly 2,000 temples and shrines.

Visa Required for Filipino Travelers

Unfortunately, a travel visa is required for Philippine passport holders to enter Japan. Basically, getting your visa approved for tourist entry in most countries that requires it simply means you need to prove three things:
  • You have the financial means to cover the cost of your trip
  • You will return to the Philippines within the period allowed in your visa
  • You will follow and respect the local laws and customs including NOT WORKING without permission

I knew at a young age that the nasty green shot you got at the health food store or juice bar, that was followed with an orange squad (yes, an orange wedge, but I called them squads) was good for me, but I had no idea why, the same kinda follows now, except I know a few more details about it's real health benefits, because I am genuinely interested in what it provides to my overall well-being.

  4. Yet while normal and understandable, this is also something that's addressable. (Not entirely fixable, of course, but at least addressable.) But facts aren't the way to do it -- simply getting better at announcing the who, what, where, and when of things won't really convey the flavor of this lively place. For that you need stories.

  7. This is the best thing I have found today. My friend and I are planning to go to Tokyo by the end of this month for some fun and refreshment. Since we both are exhausted with all our dissertations and exercising our brain on shaping our dissertation on apa referencing style. We are so ready for some vacations. Excited!

How Much Does a MRI Scan Costs in the Philippines?

My dad recently needs to have a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan for his prostate problem. So I made a little research on how much does it cost to have one. Well, turns out, it depends on many factors such as which part of the body is to be scanned. There's also this technique called "MRI with contrast" wherein the patient will be injected with a chemical to make the scan clearer. For your information this technique of adding contrast is know as Gadolinium Contrast Medium . It adds cost to the procedure but with more clarity, the more you can trust the diagnosis. We got it in i-Scan Healthcare Inc here in Quezon City. The cost is 13000 Pesos . Please take not that the amount was just for the scan and the result will be read by a separate professional. SCAM: My First Scam Text This Year; 850000 Pesos from GMA Kapuso Foundation

It's a brand new year for everyone, including local scammers. And despite all the efforts by PLDT and Globe Telecom to curb text message scammers, from time to time, they still creep out and show up in our inboxes. And as hard to believe as the messages of winning some great amounts of money is the fact that there are still people who believe them. I personally know someone and that scam text message triggered events that turn her life upside down. So my point is, we still need to be careful regarding these scam messages. The danger is real! So without further ado, here's the scam message I received a few days ago. On Sunday, January 7, 2018 at exactly 3:33PM (PH time), I received this message from a certain Atty. 4 Steps to Replace Stolen or Lost Passbook

My passbook (inside my bag) was recently stolen inside a local grocery store and I would like to share the steps I took in order to secure my account and get a new passbook. The steps outlined here is for a BPI savings account but generally the procedure will be very similar to other banks in the Philippines. 1. Call the Bank to Secure Your Account The first and the most crucial step you need to immediately do is to contact your bank either through phone or personally reporting it to the branch where you opened the account. This will ensure that no funds will get out. The bank will lock the account immediately. The big banks have 24/7 hotlines. For BPI, it's 89-100. You have to do this step ASAP after discovering the lost. 2. Go to the Branch to Ask for Replacement of Passbook This can be a simple replacement of the lost passbook but it can also mean closing the entire account and opening a new one for security purposes.
